Original Thinkers: Revolutionary Voices
- Robert F. Kennedy
“It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.”
~ Robert F. Kennedy South Africa, 1966
First let me say how pleased I am that you have been inspired to subscribe to “Original Thinkers, Revolutionary Voices” - our Quote of the Week service in support of “The Campaign to Liberate Freedom.”
Perhaps you may have felt that signing up for ‘this service’ was a small act. Not so. It means the world to us. Why? We interpret it as your willingness to stand up and speak out for freedom, patience, and independent thinking. To us it also means you are saying that ‘world peace’ is a real possibility; that every voice counts; every action matters; every email serves a purpose, every moment of our lives has value and impact.
To act freely is an act of conscience.
As such, the energy of freedom influences context, rippling across time and space…it moves the earth. Touches her nature - the trees and animals and birds. How could they not feel the impact. The study of light teaches us about the fabric of the universe. The Whole lights us when energy is refracted through photonic resonance vibrations.
That’s why I say, revolution means that I - you - we - are willing to ‘care’ about life and living as if it were light itself, the very light that allows us to see life, feel it, know it to be what it is.
Because no thing lives apart. No one is an island. We are a vibrant interconnected totality: life is everything, We Are that Everything.
So from all of us here at World Dharma and the Campaign, we thank you from the depths of our hearts for supporting the vision. And may we encourage you to please serve as our first Freedom Ambassadors for the Campaign. Be creative, share the Campaign’s importance with others: forward the Campaign’s Invitation film to friends and ask them to do the same. Invite others to write an original “rave on freedom.”
There are so many creative ways to elevate freedom and raise awareness of Aung San Suu Kyi’s incarceration, as well as her country’s ongoing courageous “revolution of the spirit” for freedom and human dignity all over the world.
May it happen…
Until next week,
All peace and gratitude,
Alan Clements
